Some new and noteworthy records of Hepaticae and Anthocerotae from Western Himalaya, India

Abstract

 
Thirty six taxa of liverworts and two of hornworts have been recorded from Western Himalaya, India. Of these, three taxa, viz., Frullania dilatata (L.) Dumort. subsp. dilatata, Lejeunea obfusca Mitt. and Scapania glaucocephala (Taylor) Austin, are new records for India. Whereas 13 species are new to the Western Himalayan region of the country, eighteen species are new to the State of Himachal Pradesh, while three species have been recorded for the first time from the State of Uttaranchal.
